Barb and Carol, I extend our family's deepest condolences upon reading of your mother's passing. Your mother lived two doors from my mother, Laura, at Stanford Court in Mechanicsburg. I was a young mother at the time and your Mom babysat for us often. My children loved her. We knew all about you, her beloved daughters (and husbands), and her grandchildren for whom is was so proud. We were sad when she moved away but we understood the need to be near family. We send our blessings and sympathy.

Thank you Lisa. My mom talked a lot about you and your children. I know she always had a great time babysitting. We appreciate your kind words.

To my sweet brother Ken and his family: my dear friend Barb, my wonderful niece Lisa, my nephew - in - law Andrew, my grandnephew Theo, my grandniece Iris, my incredible nephew David .. to the extraordinary extended Witte family, Carol and Tom and their remarkable children Mark, his wife, and dear Susan,

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Lois was a truly lovely person who made every situation she was in better. She never said anything negative, which at times confounded me, but always impressed we. She was always kind, sweet, and caring. Her smile and laughter was uniquely hers. She was always my first Christmas card. She made the best cookies. She laughed at all my jokes, sometimes the only one who laughed. She always cared about what i was doing, genuinely. She never moped openly after the tragic loss of Chubb, which broke everyone’s heart, but taught us dignity and grace even in the worst of times. She always made me feel special. I suppose she made everyone feel special. That was her gift. She was a friend to my mom and that meant a lot. She was our last parent/ grandparent. She will be so sadly, sadly missed. To all of Lois’s family. Please know that she lightened our hearts , all of us, Matthew, Molly, and Bill , and will never be forgotten. My best to all if you as you adjust to life without her. May your memories, as there are so many, comfort your hurting hearts.

To Barb & Carol. My sincerest condolences to you both and your entire family. I have such fond memories of both your parents and both of you going up next door in Camp Hill, PA in the 1960's. I remember seeing and talking with your mom when she attended the Jim Brickman performance at Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, PA in the early 2000's when I was House Manager at the Center.

Be well,

Mark A. Bradshaw Harrisburg, PA
