For those who loved her, a tough blessing was received Sunday July 28, 2019, with the passing of Helen Rae Flynn after a decade-long journey with dementia. Helen passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Despite all that was taken from her by the illness, Helen will be lovingly remembered for all she gave of herself to family, friends and community.

Born on July 2, 1927 in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of the late L. Raymond Beaman and Helen M. (Gough) MacNamara, and she was the widow of James L. Flynn, who passed away in 1987.
Active in numerous organizations and charities in New York City, NY and Charleston, S.C., Helen will be remembered locally as co-chairman of the Donaldson Charitable Trust.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee R. Beaman, Jr.
Helen is survived by her sisters Vivian Klein, Idaho; Marilyn Jensen, California; Darlene Malz, Georgia; her six children, Patricia Usner, Lemoyne; Michael Flynn, Enola; Gerry Socha, Carlisle; Georgia Liddell, Camp Hill; Thomas Flynn, Dillsburg; Laurie Foster, Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
All services will be private, and burial will be handled by the family in Harrisburg East Cemetery. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
