Fred and I both grew up in Hinton, W.Va., and we lived in the same rooming house for a couple of years during undergraduate school in the 1960s at WVU. It must have been in the late 1970s when I was back east for the winter that I visited Fred in Harrisburg. He was a highly respected doctor, and he showed me around the facility where he treated his patients. My best wishes go out to Fred's family. -Gene Sentz, Choteau, Montana

I feel honored to have called this gentleman a friend. I attended HHS with him, and always enjoyed talking to him at reunions. It was always a pleasure to reconnect. My thoughts and prayers to him family, and brother Sam. .......... Sue Huffman Leitch

Fred was a great neighbor and always a pleasure to be around here in his "Man-Cave" of Lake Meade. Already is missed immensely.

I am so sorry Susan and Kara and family. I sure do have great memories of Fred having grown up next door to him.
