Obituary

Marjorie Rose Himes, 90, passed away in her Camp Hill home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday February 8, 2019 after a 13-year illness. She was born at home in Andersonburg, PA, on November 14, 1928 to the late Neff F. Stokes and Clara E. (Ricedorf) Stokes.
Margie graduated with the 1947 class of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, PA. She was then employed by the Commonwealth of PA before becoming a full-time wife and mother. For a few years, she worked part-time at the former EJ Korvettes store in the Camp Hill Mall. During her senior years, she volunteered for the Republican Committee. Margie was proud to claim her Perry County birthplace, her move to Harrisburg in her teen years, and especially proud to reside in the same Camp Hill Borough home since 1956.
Surviving are Richard M. Himes, her husband of 69 years, who gave her extraordinary care; three loving daughters, Linda M. Wertz (Daniel), of Camp Hill, Jacalyn C. Berry, of Cogan Station, and Brenda E. Himes, of Lewisberry; three grandsons, and one-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie G. Smith.
There will be no public services. Margie’s final resting place will be in the Columbarium of the Camp Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill. A special thanks to Homeland Hospice.

To the Family: Very sorry for your loss. It is a time like this that we can find comfort and strength in the promises found in God’s word at Isaiah 25:8, 9 and Acts 24:15. We long to see their fulfillment soon. All of God’s promises come true.

May you have joy in the memories of your loved one. (2 Corinthians 1:2-4) The Bible gives real hope of being reunited again with your loved one. It promises that your loved one will soon come back to life in the resurrection to a beautiful, peaceful paradise on the earth. (John 5:28, 29) Sincerely, S. Ellis
