Richard E. Myers, 90, of Camp Hill, passed away on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at his home.
Born on October 12, 1927 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Earl Q. and Cleopatra (King) Myers.
Dick was a 1945 graduate of Camp Hill High School and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was retired from Nationwide Insurance. He was a longtime member of the Camp Hill Church of God, and was a former Camp Hill Little League Coach. He was also an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox
He is survived by a daughter, Vicki L. Myers, of Camp Hill, and a son, Jeffrey S. Myers, of Harrisburg; a sister, Alta Ryan, of The Villages, FL; and two grandsons, Troy and Matthew Schoonhoven, both of Camp Hill.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria (Snyder) Myers and a sister, Pat Bechtel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday February 16, 2018 in the Camp Hill Church of God, 123 N. 21st. St. Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor Jason Cooksey officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Following the reception, a graveside service will be held at 1:15 P.M. in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
