Obituary for Horace "Hank" Johnson

Horace "Hank" Johnson
Horace Arthur Johnson (“Hank”), 87, of Camp Hill passed away at home on Sunday, September 16th, 2018. Hank was born on April 10th, 1931 in Scotrun, PA to the late Henry and Mable Johnson and was the widower of Jean Elizabeth Johnson, his wife of 61 years. His love, laughter, and stories will be greatly missed by his four children; Matt Johnson (Lisa), Sally Holbert (John), Amy Bihl (Dave) and Doug Johnson, and his ten grandchildren; Quinton, Peter, Alex (Krystal), Tim (Chrissy), Trevor, Elliott, Matt, Andrew, Jake and Molly, one sister; Arlene Rodgers and an extended family of wonderful relations and friends.
After graduating from East Stroudsburg University, Hank served the U.S. Army, he entered the Korean War as a 2nd Lt. and was later promoted to Captain while serving in the 91st Ordinance Company in Taegu, Korea. Upon returning, he graduated from Dickinson Law School in 1958 and later received a Master of Laws degree from New York University in 1962. Hank enjoyed a long and successful career as a prominent attorney at the law firm of Johnson, Duffie located in Lemoyne, PA. He served his community on Borough Council and was a past president of West Shore Country Club. Throughout his life, Hank enjoyed many activities including baseball, basketball, hunting, and fishing but had two passions; his family and golf. He traveled extensively, spending annual vacations with his family in Canada and countless hours on the golf course with his buddies and family. Hank was especially fond of his past in the Pocono Mountains and always had stories to share.
A visitation with the family will be held at Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill on Sunday, September 23rd from 11:00 am to 1:30pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home, immediately following the visitation at 2:00 pm with the Reverend John Brock of Trinity Lutheran Church.
